Microsoft's new Outlook for Windows takes approximately 10 seconds to display an email after clicking a notification, compared to Outlook Classic which opens the email almost instantly. The performance gap stems from the new Outlook's WebView2-based architecture, which runs as 10 separate processes consuming significantly more memory and CPU resources than the native Win32 version.
