Plex will increase the price of its Lifetime Pass from $250 to $750 starting July 1, representing a 200% price hike that aims to encourage users toward monthly or annual subscriptions. The company cited expanding software features and ongoing maintenance costs as justification, while acknowledging it previously considered eliminating the lifetime option entirely.
Amazing how Plex just keeps getting worse. Apparently Jellyfin is the place to be nowadays, now that Plex is turning the screws on their users: https://jellyfin.org/
Agreed. As someone wh also got a lifetime pass while they were on special, I hope they continue to provide for that level of pass without screwing us all over.
